2
Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley, drive to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur
Kathmandu is, indeed, a historic city bedecked with time-honored monuments and architectural facets throughout the backstreet alleys. On this day, we will visit some of the most brilliant architectural pieces inside the valley, which have been listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Mainly we will visit Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. After the sightseeing we will head towards Nagarkot. Boudhanath Stupa is among the sites which are famous for its unique morphological outlook. While its anatomy is mostly adorned with the enthralling paintings of the Lord Buddha, visitors of all religions are welcome to join the prayer ceremonies. It is one of the most peaceful places in the world. Similarly, Pashupatinath temple is a holy shrine of Hindus that is primarily dedicated to Lord Shiva (one of the three supreme Hindu deities). Within this complex only, there are 518 temples and monuments, which is a lot many when it comes to seeing them together within a specified territory. Upon completing our tour to Pashupatinath we will continue sightseeing around Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We will enroll in the exotic settings of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is just a name that epitomizes the four different squares in total- Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, and Pottery Square. After exploring Bhaktapur, we will drive towards Nagarkot. By the time we reach, it will be the perfect time for Sunset. You will enjoy the sunset view and will stay overnight there.
3
Drive from Nagarkot to Chitwan
Subsequently, after witnessing the glorious sunrise from the viewpoint of Nagarkot, we will head on towards Chitwan via Kathmandu. Chitwan is drastically different than Kathmandu and Nagarkot in many respects- topography, climate, people, culture, language, and many more. Once we arrive in Chitwan, we will go for a short walk along the bank of the Rapti river to watch the sunset from the never-ending plains of Chitwan. It is really an amazing day, but still, more surprises await the next day.
4
Jungle Safari activities in Chitwan National Park and drive to Lumbini
Chitwan has been one of the global attraction sites for the last couple of decades. Today, we will catch a short canoe ride in the Rapti River, which, indeed, is an amazing opportunity to see Gharials and Muggers basking in the sun. After that, we will go on a safari- either via Jeep or Elephant- to encounter the wild creatures by surprise. To see one-horned rhinoceros, it is not a big deal; however, the royal Bengal tiger is a rarely sighted creature in the forest of Chitwan. With over 650 species of birds (including the migratory ones), Chitwan has claimed its title of being one of the best spots for Bird-watching. If you are a passionate photographer than you should stay in this place for a bit of a long time. From Chitwan, Lumbini can be reached in about 5-6 hours’ drive, but it largely depends upon the traffic.
5
Sightseeing around Lumbini and drive to Pokhara
This morning, we will stroll around the Mayadevi temple, which is the place where Lord Buddha was born. The great Ashoka Pillar, by the side of the temple, epitomizes the historical existence of the Lord Buddha. Around the premises of the temple, there are several chronicles (some in English) that explain the historical importance of the site. Apart from these, we will go to see the great Baby Buddha Statue, ahead of which burns the eternal flame (also known as Shanti Dip or flame of peace). Also, there are over 10 brilliant monasteries, built by several nations including China, in the periphery of the temple where we can gape on the inner décor of the temple. After lunch we will drive towards Pokhara. Driving from Lumbini is another wonder of the road trip. The way towards Pokhara is a pleasant ride because a lot of natural surprises awaits you. It is about 8 hours ride from Lumbini.
6
Explore Pokhara day
Today is going to be an exciting day of the whole trip because, on this day, we will be venturing around the realms of Natural Paradise—Pokhara. There are a lot of places to hang out in Pokhara. From the Paragliding above the fluffy clouds to the soul-piercing adventure of Bungee Jumping, everything is available in Pokhara. We will visit the World Peace Stupa, which is also a beautiful viewpoint to gaze upon the farsighted incredible mountain vistas including panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city and Fewa Lake. The interiors are well decorated with the sculptures and paintings of Buddha. It is really an incredible place. Plus, we will also explore the International Mountain Museum, where the historical records of climbers and epic climbing gears are protected. Apart from these, there are also a few historical places, but that doesn’t count in front of what nature has bestowed to this amazing tourist center.
7
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, we leave from Pokhara towards Kathmandu, which is a pleasant 6-7 hours ride. You may as well grab a flight if you are short on time or feel like not going by road. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you may go shopping for some souvenirs and handicrafts in the marketplace of Thamel.
8
Final departure
Finally, the day has come to return home. However, if you wish to extend your stay, then we will be very glad to assist you on your future trips.
