Kailash Charan Sparsh — Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk via Dolma La Pass (5,630m / 18,471ft)
The most physically demanding and spiritually profound day of the Yatra. Before dawn, trek up to Shiva-tsal, where pilgrims traditionally leave behind a small personal item symbolizing a spiritual 'death and rebirth,' before the steep climb to Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the Kora. Prayer flags flutter thickly at the pass, marking the presence of the goddess Dolma (Tara). The trail then descends past the sacred Gauri Kund before reaching Zuthulpuk. Many pilgrims describe this as their closest physical and spiritual point of connection with Kailash Parvat.
