Annapurna region of Nepal is home to the majestic Annapurna Range with huge intimidating mountains as Annapurna I (8091M), beautiful landscapes and some of the most breathtaking mountain scenery in the entire planet. Every part of the region is like a painting that will leave you amazed and breathless. Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. During the trek you will come face to face with the Annapurna Massif (Annapurna I to VI), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 M), Mt Manasulu. Mt Macchapuchre (Fish Tail) and much more. Annapurna Circuit trek also give you the chance to experience the unique culture of the Gurung, Magar and Sherpa ethnicity. The colorful villages of these communities rests on the lap of the Himalayas where you will get the chance to observe and come close to the authentic lifestyle and traditions of the Mountain people.
Our journey starts at Besisahar, a vibrant city in Lamjung. The route passes along paddy fields into dense forests, several cliffs, and clear waterfalls. The trail crosses several rivers over steel or wooden suspension bridges. Our journey then leads to Thorung La pass (5416M), touching the edge of Tibetan plateau. It is the highest altitude of our journey. The temple of Muktinath that holds great value for both Hindu and Buddhist culture is another point of interest in our trek. We then trek to Poonhill, a famous viewpoint where we will observe the sunrise over the beautiful Himalayas.

Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), guests will be warmly received by representatives of Goreto Treks. For those arriving early, there will be an opportunity to savour authentic Nepalese cuisine accompanied by vibrant cultural dance performances that reflect Nepal's rich heritage.

Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani via Besisahar (8-9 hours)
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will commence our journey toward Besi Shahar, a scenic drive of approximately 8-9 hours from Kathmandu. En route, we will pause for lunch before continuing onward to Dharapani. Upon arrival in Dharapani, guests will have free time to unwind and explore the surrounding area at their leisure.

Trek starts from Dharapani to Chame 16 Km (5-6 hours)
Today’s journey leads us from Dharapani to Chame, passing through charming villages predominantly inhabited by the Gurung and Magar communities, offering a glimpse into their rich cultural heritage. Along the route, we’ll encounter stunning waterfalls cascading down dramatic landscapes, which add to the region's natural beauty. The majestic Lamjung Himal will also come into view, enhancing the scenic allure of our journey through this picturesque countryside.

Trek from Chame to Pisang 14 Km (4-5 hours)
Today, we begin our Annapurna Circuit Trek from Chame, trekking through lush forests and picturesque apple orchards. We’ll stop for lunch at Dhukur Pokhari before continuing toward Pisang, where breathtaking views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Pisang Peak await. Pisang is uniquely divided into Upper and Lower sections by the Marsyangdi River, and we’ll explore both areas to experience the finest mountain vistas and local cultural charm. Overnight accommodations will be arranged in a carefully selected trekking lodge or traditional teahouse.

Trek from Pisang to Manang (5-6 hours)
On our second day of the Annapurna Circuit Trek, we embark on a scenic hike through pine-covered valleys to the village of Braga, renowned for its ancient monastery. As we continue our ascent, we’ll cross suspension bridges over the Marsyangdi River on our way to Manang, where we will spend two nights to aid in acclimatisation. While in Manang, take time to explore the charming local bakeries and enjoy spectacular views of the towering Annapurna and Gangapurna peaks.

Acclimatization in Manang
An additional day in Manang provides a valuable opportunity for altitude acclimatisation. The town offers a variety of attractions, including scenic viewpoints, ancient monasteries, and a cultural museum. For those seeking adventure, optional day hikes lead to breathtaking glacial lakes with panoramic views of Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak. After enjoying a hearty meal at our lodge, we’ll rest and recharge in preparation for the next stage of our Annapurna Circuit Trek.

Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4 hours)
Today’s trek includes a steady ascent past the village of Tengi, leading to a lunch stop in Gunsang, where we’ll enjoy panoramic views of Annapurna II and Annapurna IV. The trail then winds through serene juniper forests as we make our way to Yak Kharka. To support proper acclimatisation, we ascend gradually before settling in for the night at this high-altitude settlement.

Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4-5 hours)
We begin the day with a gentle ascent through alpine pastures, where sightings of Himalayan griffons are common. After crossing either a suspension bridge or a smaller wooden bridge, we arrive at Thorong Phedi. Here, we’ll rest and prepare for the challenging ascent over the Thorong La Pass the following day.

Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong La (7-8 hours)
Today, guided by our experienced trek leader, we cross Thorong La Pass, the highest point of the Annapurna Circuit at 5,416 meters. After taking in the breathtaking panoramic views, we begin our descent into the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, eventually arriving in Muktinath—a revered pilgrimage site adorned with ancient temples and sacred shrines. We conclude this rewarding day with a well-earned rest in one of Muktinath’s welcoming teahouses.

Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom, drive bacck to Tatopani (7-8 hrs)
Today’s trek is long but less demanding than the previous day. We begin by descending through the culturally rich Jhong Valley, renowned for its deep-rooted Buddhist heritage and ancient stone cairns, before stopping for lunch in the picturesque village of Kagbeni. From there, a three-hour hike brings us to Jomsom, where we’ll board a local jeep or bus bound for Tatopani—famous for its natural hot springs nestled unexpectedly amidst the snowy Himalayas. After a scenic five- to six-hour drive, we’ll check in at our teahouse and have the chance to relax in the rejuvenating hot springs before enjoying a hearty meal and well-deserved rest.

Drive from Tatopani to Pokhara (5 hours)
We will awaken to the gentle sounds of birdsong, marking the nearing conclusion of our Annapurna Circuit Trek. Our journey continues with a scenic five to six-hour drive back to Pokhara, a city renowned for its adventurous spirit and breathtaking views of Phewa Lake and the Annapurna range. Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore, whether pursuing thrilling activities or simply relaxing and soaking in the scenery. We will then return to our hotel for an overnight stay.

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (6-7 hrs)
After breakfast, we will journey back to Kathmandu by tourist bus via the scenic Prithvi Highway, offering picturesque views of Nepal’s countryside and the perfect opportunity to reflect on and share your trekking experiences. Alternatively, a flight can be arranged upon request. This evening, we will come together for a farewell dinner in Kathmandu to celebrate the conclusion of our adventure.
