Overview

It can also be called as Mini Annapurna Trek as it lies on the route to Annapurna Trek. Poonhill (3210 meters high) is the point of attraction in this trek because it is the point from where the trekkers will be able to see the fascinating sunrise view which changes the white snowcapped mountains into the golden ones during the sunrise period. Mountains of Annapurna range (i.e. Annapurna I, II, III and IV), Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Machhapuchre also known as Fishtail are some of the beautiful mountains trekkers can see from Poonhill. During their trek to Poonhill, trekkers can see the beautiful landscapes of terrace farming, dense forest filled with oak, rhododendron and other alpine flowers. Gurungs and Magars are the major inhabitants of the places in this trekking route. Starting point for this trek is Nayapol, which is almost one and half an hour drive from Pokhara.
