On your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, our airport representatives from Goreto Treks will warmly greet you, after which you will be transferred to the hotel on a private tourist vehicle.

The day begins with a hearty breakfast followed by a pre-trip meeting hosted by Goreto at your hotel. During this session, your trip guide will be introduced, and any questions you have will be gladly addressed. Important trip details will be provided, so feel free to take notes, and don't forget to bring three passport-size photos, your passport, and travel insurance policy for legal formalities, including a liability waiver.
After the meeting, embark on a sightseeing adventure of the valley with a private vehicle and professional guide. The initial leg of the trek involves a descent to the Dudh Koshi River before proceeding to Phakding. With the trekking altitude around 2,500m, today's journey offers a leisurely pace, allowing ample time to soak in the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding landscapes.

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar(4340m)
Today's trek leads us uphill to Namche Bazaar, known as the Gateway to Everest. Along the way, we traverse several trail bridges adorned with colorful Buddhist prayer flags, adding to the scenic charm. Take breaks to appreciate the significance of Sagarmatha National Park, which plays a vital role in preserving the region's ecological balance while fostering sustainable tourism. Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Today is dedicated to acclimatization in Namche Bazaar, allowing our bodies to adjust to the increasing altitude. While resting, take advantage of the town's offerings, including a renowned museum highlighting Everest expeditions and Sherpa lifestyles. Explore the area to observe the daily routines of the predominantly Sherpa community. For those seeking more adventure, there's an optional hike to the nearby (decommissioned) Syanboche Airport, offering breathtaking views of the Everest Panorama if time permits.

Trek from Namche Bazaar to PhorsteThanga(3680m)
Leaving Namche behind, our journey continues through enchanting forest trails adorned with Nepal's national flower, the rhododendron. Along the way, we encounter quaint villages, providing insight into local culture and traditions. Continuing our trek from PhorsteThanga, we are treated to breathtaking glimpses of Cho Oyu and other majestic mountains as we ascend the ridge. The route involves both descents and ascents, leading us closer to the impressive Ngozump glacier. After an exhilarating journey, we arrive at our destination for the day, Macherma, in the early afternoon, ready to rest and recharge for the adventures ahead.

Setting off from Macherma, our journey leads us towards Gokyo, a pivotal point and base for the remainder of our adventure. Gokyo not only serves as a crucial milestone but also offers fantastic opportunities for hiking in the surrounding attractions, enhancing the overall trekking experience.

Trek from Gokyo to GokyoRi (5360m), and return to Gokyo
GokyoRi, towering at 5,483m, offers a breathtaking panorama of the Khumbu mountains. Beginning our ascent early, we tackle the steep slopes to reach the summit. From this vantage point, we're treated to majestic views of Everest, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, and other towering peaks, as well as the picturesque Gokyo valley below. After soaking in the awe-inspiring mountain vistas, we descend back to Gokyo, enriched by the unforgettable experience.

Trek from Gokyo to Thangna(4700m)
Today's trek brings us to the challenging Cho-la pass, a highlight of the journey. Be prepared for the remote conditions, as accommodations and food at Thangna may be basic, possibly in dormitory-style lodges. However, the extraordinary trekking experience and magnificent surroundings will undoubtedly make up for any simplicity in amenities. Embrace the adventure and immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the Himalayas.

Trek from Thangna to Dzongla(4830m), via Cho-la Pass(5330m)
Our trek begins in the predawn hours today, aiming to cross Cho-la pass early to evade potential inclement weather later in the day. Standing at an altitude of 5,300m, the pass poses challenges such as strong winds if we delay our crossing. Despite the high altitude and possible snowy conditions, the endeavor rewards us with unparalleled views of the surrounding mountains. Upon conquering the pass, we descend to Dzongla along a descending trail. Similar to Thangna, expect basic accommodations and food due to the remote location, but revel in the unique experience of being surrounded by the pristine wilderness of the Himalayas.

Trek from Dzongla to Lobuche(4910m)
Contrary to the previous day's challenges, today's trek from Dzongla to Lobuche is relatively easier and shorter. We anticipate reaching Lobuche shortly after midday, allowing for a more leisurely pace and ample time to enjoy the journey.

Trek from Lobuche to GorakShep(5140m), via Everest Base Camp (5463m)
Following a well-deserved rest in Lobuche, we embark on the challenging trek across the Khumbu Glacier towards the renowned Everest Base Camp, situated at an impressive altitude of 5,360m. The sensation of reaching this remarkable milestone is nothing short of extraordinary, standing at the base camp, the highest point achievable without specialized equipment. After soaking in the breathtaking mountain views from this iconic location, our journey continues to GorakShep, where further adventures await.

Hike to Kala Patthar(5545m), and trek from GorakShep to Periche(4240m)
In the early morning hours, we embark on a hike to Kala Patthar, a magnificent peak offering unparalleled views of the Everest panorama. From its elevation of 5,555m, we are treated to a breathtaking sight of the Himalayan crown jewels, including Everest, Pumori, Lhotse, and more. After relishing this awe-inspiring vista, we descend back to GorakShep before continuing our journey towards Periche along a descending trail, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of our Himalayan adventure.

Today's trek takes us towards Namche, passing through Pangboche village, known for its museum housing an alleged yeti scalp, adding an intriguing twist to our journey. Finally, we arrive at Namche, reflecting on the remarkable sights and experiences of our Himalayan adventure.

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla(2840m)
As we bid farewell to the majestic mountains, our journey leads us back to Lukla via Phakding, retracing our steps to our original starting point for trekking. The return trip is faster as we mostly descend and enjoy the relatively lower altitude, providing our lungs with more oxygen and energy. Upon reaching Lukla, the evening is free for leisure activities. We celebrate our successful adventure with a few rounds of drinks and traditional dancing with the locals, cherishing the memories of our Himalayan expedition.

Today marks our return to Kathmandu as we take a scenic flight from Lukla, offering a bird's-eye view of the magnificent mountains below, a fitting farewell to the Himalayas.
