itinerary for the Jomsom Trek, a 14-day journey through the mesmerizing
landscapes of the Annapurna region in Nepal. From the bustling city of
Kathmandu, we'll fly or drive to Pokhara and begin our trek in Banthanti, driving
through charming villages like Tikhedhunga and Ghorepani, where we'll witness
awe-inspiring sunrise views from Poon Hill. As we continue, we'll traverse the
arid landscapes of Kagbeni and Marpha, exploring ancient monasteries and apple
orchards, before reaching Jomsom. Finally, we'll trek back to Pokhara,
concluding this extraordinary experience filled with natural wonders and

Arrival at Kathmandu
You will be picked up at the airport by a
representative of Goreto Treks and Expedition. You will then be transferred to
Kathmandu Eco Hotel by our private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel.

Pre-Departure Meeting and Kathmandu Tour
After breakfast we will organize a pre-departure
meeting about your tour and treks. Our guide will provide detailed information
about your tour or trek. During the meeting clear all the remaining dues if
any, bring three copies of passport size photos, copy of your passport and
travel insurance policy. Please feel free to ask any queries with our guide
related to your trekking regions. After meeting, our tour guide will take you
for Kathmandu valley sightseeing in private tourist vehicle. During the tour, you
will visit major historical, cultural and religious places of Kathmandu valley
including Swyambhunath Stupa (The Monkey Temple), Kathmandu Durbar Square,
Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Our tour guide will explain about
the cultural, historical and religious importance of these places in brief
during the tour. You will be transferred to the hotel after the tour.

Drive to Pokhara
At 6:30am, our trekking staffs will pick up you at
hotel and escort to the bus station. The bus to Pokhara leaves at around
7:30am. You will drive by the beautiful rivers trisuli and marsyangdi which is
very popular for rafting as well. Pokhara is very popular for the panoramic
view of majestic Himalayas such as Annapurna, Machhapuchare(Fishtail) in the
north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. After 7
hours of drive, you will arrive at Pokahara, beautiful city of lakes, caves Buddhist
and Hindus temples. You can enjoy your evening wandering on lake sides.

Drive to Banthanti and Trek to Ghorepani (2860 M)
Today we will start our road trip from Pokhara to
Banthanti, We will pass via Nayapul and reach Banthanti which will be about 4-5
hours ride. Upon reaching Banthanti, we will enjoy our lunch and then start our
trek towards Ghorepani (2860M) we pass through a beautiful forest full of
rhodhodendrons. We then reach to the village of Ghorepani, which is the closest
to Poonhill.

Early morning hike to Poonhill (3210 M) then back to Ghorepani and Trek to Tatopani (2640M)
We will set out for an early morning hike to Poonhill
(3210) from Ghorepani. Poonhill is a famous viewpoint which provide spectacular
view of 30 snowcapped mountains including Annapurna South, Annapurna I,
Annapurna II, III, and IV, Mt Dhaulagiri, Macchapuchre (fish tail), Nilgiri,
and Manaslu ranges among few others. The sunrise as seen from Poonhill, when
the white snowcapped mountains turns into a beautiful golden color is
mesmerizing. After clicking a few snaps and observing the spectacular panoramic
view of Annapurna range, we will hike back to Ghorepani. From Ghorepani we will
then descend to Tatopani (2640M) where we will overnight. Tatopani is a small
village which also provides spectacular mountain scenery of the Himalayas.
Tatopani translates to hot springs in Nepali. The village has several hot
springs which will help you relax for the upcoming days.

Trek to Ghasa (2010 M) from Tatopani(1190 M) [5-6 hrs]
After an early breakfast we start our trek towards
Ghasa. The trail to Ghasa follows the Gandaki River and passes a beautiful
waterfall, Rupse Chahara. Ghasa is the gateway of lower mustang region.

Trek to Larjung (2550 M) from Ghasa (2010 M) [4-5 hrs]
From Ghasa we start our journey towards Larjung
village. The trail is quite steep and narrow, and slowly we can see the varying
and unique landscape of the Mustang region. We pass Lete village before
arriving at Larjung, our end point for the day.

Trek to Marpha (2670 M) from Larjung (2550 M) [3-4 hrs]
We start our trek towards Marpha, after breakfast. The
trail is moderate and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We will also
pass through several orchads on the way. Marpha is a small village in lower
Mustang famous for its apples.

Trek to Kagbeni (2810 M) from Marpha (2670 M) [4-5 hrs]
After an early breakfast, we will start our journey.
The trail gradually ascends following the Kali Gandaki River through Jomsom
towards Kagbeni. Kagbeni is famous for its spectacular mountain desert scenery
and windy breezes.

Trek to Muktinath (3800 M) from Kagbeni (2810 M) [4-5 hrs]
Today is an important day of the trek .From Kagbeni we
will start our journey towards Muktinath. The trail gradually ascends through
desert like plains. Some parts of the trail is narrow and steep and requires
extra caution.
Muktinath is a sacred place for both Hindus and
Buddhists and is a popular destination for tourists visiting the Mustang
region. The temple has a total of 108 water taps. The water from these taps is
said to have great spiritual and religious importance. Another attraction in
the temple is the natural flame. The temple has a beautiful and relaxing
atmosphere with panoramic views of snowcapped mountains.

Trek to Jomsom (2720 M) via Lubra (2790 M) from Muktinath (3800 M) [5-6 hrs]
After Breakfast at Muktinath valley we will trek back
to Jomsom via the Lupra village. Lupra is a traditional village hidden in the
Panda Khola gorges between Kagbeni and Jomsom. We will overnight at Jomsom.

Fly to Pokhara from Jomsom and tour Pokhara
After exploring the city of Jomsom for a short period
we check into the airport for a flight back to Pokhara. On arrival at Pokhara
airport, our guide will transfer you to a lakeside hotel in Pokhara.
We will visit some important places of the lake city
for the rest of our day. The most beautiful places like Phewa Lake, Devi’s
water fall, International Mountaineering museum, Tibetan refugee settlement and
Gupteshowr cave will be visited. You can also spend some hours boating in Phewa
Lake. Stay overnight in hotel.

Trek to Jomsom (2720 M) via Lubra (2790 M) from Muktinath (3800 M) [5-6 hrs]
After Breakfast at Muktinath valley we will trek back
to Jomsom via the Lupra village. Lupra is a traditional village hidden in the
Panda Khola gorges between Kagbeni and Jomsom. We will overnight at Jomsom.<o:p></o:p>

Fly to Pokhara from Jomsom and tour Pokhara
After exploring the city of Jomsom for a short period
we check into the airport for a flight back to Pokhara. On arrival at Pokhara
airport, our guide will transfer you to a lakeside hotel in Pokhara.
We will visit some important places of the lake city
for the rest of our day. The most beautiful places like Phewa Lake, Devi’s

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by company vehicle
that takes about seven hours. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you head
up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where the Nepal’s first Cable car is
operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. En route, you could enjoy the mountain
views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being
engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot,
the gateway to capital city. In the evening you can take a short walk around
Thamel if you need to purchase some souvenirs to take back to your
country. We will provide you a fully
sponsored farewell dinner for your great achievement in successfully completing
the Trek at a restaurant of your choice or our home. Stay overnight in hotel.

You will be transferred to the
international airport for your final departure by our company van.
